Her low-slung, Honey vintage leather rolled arms – complete with stud detailing and leather piping – are evocative of shoulders supporting weighty shopping bags, the result of hours spent traipsing the ChampsÉlysées.
Birdie’s devotion to being ever en vogue is demonstrated by her premium quality S.W. James vintage leather upholstery – the authentic feel and worn-in texture of which resemble her wellused passport, a document close to her heart for its facilitation of many a trip to the Continent.
Her soft, supple exterior encases deep-seat cushions that’ve been injected with S.W. James’ signature comfort blend of layered foam, pocketed fibre, and Dacron fabric. When she’s not jetting off to the home of Yves Saint Laurent and Coco Chanel, Birdie makes the perfect addition to a home that’s longing for an air of chic. The Birdie is our handmade vintage leather sofa. Lovingly hand crafted by our small team in exactly the same way as our Chesterfields.
We wanted to achieve the look of a good old, rugged, distressed vintage leather sofa. This sofa looks like it has lived a good life already, even though it’s brand new. Each Birdie we create is a one-off piece of furniture.
