When our sofa maker went bust we searched the internet and found SW James and asked whether they could help us with a Chesterfield sofa bed. The service we received was fantastic...they produced exactly the same sofa for us and even hand delivered it through an upstairs window and it is perfect! I can't recommend S W James highly enough. We've been absolutely delighted with the service from start to finish - professional, transparent and attentive. Warren was so helpful, and either on the end of the phone to answer questions, or would call back very quickly if we couldn't get hold of him straightaway. SWJames are a company that are hard to find today in the UK, their chesterfield sofas are a thing of beauty, the quality of their craftsmanship, the leather, the overall appearance of the sofa and the comfort is absolutely outstanding. To cap it off they are manufactured in the UK. Warren kept us up to date with the progress of its manufacture. We had been looking for a sofa for some time, a major piece for our new home. But nothing we had looked at, in budget or even exceeding the budget, lept out, inspired or filled us with much confidence.

In all honesty, it always felt a little bit of a risk for us, buying a sofa on line. The fact that we couldn't physically sit on one was initially a concern. But after finding the S W James website and reading about their work ethic, the materials used and general high standards involved, the hunch to go to them struck a cord with us instantly.

We've always been so cautious when it comes to our hard earned cash, but after further procrastination and reading previous glowing reviews, in the end, we bit the bullet. It felt right to proceed with ordering a Number 15, two seater in vintage brown. Essentially having faith in our hunch. And thank goodness we did! The finished piece is so much better in every way than anything else we looked at! We couldn't be happier! It looks better than we imagined and fits our small livingroom perfectly.

As well as the shear asthetics, it is so comfortable to sit on! The colour and texture of the leather is second to none! It has a very contemporary, modern, firm but vintage elegance. A true testament to the guys and the level of knowledge and craftsmanship at S W James.

Well worth following ones instincts! And, on a side note, I'm definitely more of an 'old school' kind of guy, so being able to call, talk, have a conversation and discuss options directly, was, for me, absolutely the right way to go about configuring our sofa. For the money and quality, you'll be getting an absolute top draw, British made product!
